What Temperature Can the Chiller Reach?Updated 3 days ago

Our smart chiller is designed for efficient and effective cooling, but several factors can influence the exact temperature it can achieve. While the chiller is capable of reaching low temperatures, it's important to understand how the environment and setup can impact its performance.

Factors Affecting Chiller Performance

Several elements can influence how efficiently your chiller operates:

  • Ambient Temperature: Higher ambient temperatures can make it more challenging for the chiller to reach lower temperatures, while cooler conditions make the process easier.

  • Water Level: More water not only takes longer to cool but can also limit the lowest achievable temperature. Less water means faster and colder results.

  • Placement: Positioning the chiller and tub in a shaded, cool area with good airflow improves efficiency.

  • Environment: Direct sunlight and high humidity can significantly slow down and limit the cooling process.

  • Airflow: The chiller needs at least 50cm of space in every direction to allow for proper airflow, ensuring it can draw in cool air and expel hot air effectively.

Best Practices for Optimal Performance

To help your chiller perform at its best, consider the following recommendations:

  1. Maintain the Correct Water Level

    • Ensure the water level is above the bottom outlet but below the top outlet on your tub. Overfilling above the top outlet can disrupt water flow and reduce efficiency.

    • Most importantly, less water means the chiller can achieve lower temperatures. The more water present, the harder it becomes to reach colder levels.

  2. Optimal Placement

    • Set up the chiller and tub in a cool, shaded area with sufficient airflow.

    • Avoid placing it in direct sunlight, which can raise water temperatures and hinder cooling performance.

    • Maintain at least 50cm of clearance around the chiller to ensure proper ventilation and efficient operation.

  3. Maximise Insulation

    • Use all provided lids and ensure they are sealed tightly to create an airtight environment, keeping heat out and cold in.

  4. Leverage Overnight Cooling

    • Running the chiller overnight allows it to take advantage of cooler evening temperatures. By morning, you’ll have a well-chilled tub ready for use.

Official Chiller Test Results

We conducted a controlled test under the following conditions:

  • Water Volume: 200L

  • Ambient Temperature: 22°C

Important Information to Consider

The chiller has a temperature range that can be set as low as 3°C, but we cannot guarantee that this temperature will always be achieved. External factors, including ambient temperature, water level, and placement, can all influence performance.

Not reaching the lowest temperature setting does not indicate a fault with the chiller. Instead, it reflects how environmental and setup conditions impact the result. By following the best practices outlined above, you can give the chiller the best opportunity to reach its optimal performance.

While we can’t promise a specific temperature outcome, we offer detailed test results and specifications to help you determine if the chiller meets your needs. If you have any questions, our team is always here to assist.

You're on your way to the best cooling experience possible.
