How much ice does it take to cool the ice bath?Updated 9 months ago
The amount of ice needed to cool our Ice Baths depends on several factors, including ambient temperature, water volume, placement of the ice bath, insulation, and more.
Insulation:
All our tubs feature triple-layer insulation, a Thermo Lid, and an optional weather cover to optimise the cooling effect. This significantly reduces the amount of ice needed by maintaining the cold temperature for extended periods.
Recommended Ice Usage:
We recommend starting with 10kg of ice (two servo bags) and adjusting it based on your needs.
Cost-Saving Tip:
For convenience and to save money, we highly recommend using our XL Ice Packs. Each pack makes 5kg of ice directly in your freezer, eliminating the need for frequent trips to the store and reducing your overall ice expenses.
Example Calculation:
- Without XL Ice Packs: If you use 10kg of ice per session and take 3 ice baths per week, you might spend about $25-$30 per week on store-bought ice (assuming $5 per bag).
- With XL Ice Packs: Your costs will be limited to the electricity used by your freezer, which is generally much cheaper than purchasing ice.
By using our XL Ice Packs, you can enjoy a more cost-effective and convenient ice bath experience.
